Chutney Fusion Festival 2026 Competition Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter

1.1 These competition terms and conditions apply to competitions run by Fusion Life in connection with Chutney Fusion Festival 2026, taking place on 9 August 2026.
1.2 For the purposes of these terms, “Fusion Life”, “the Promoter”, “we”, “us” or “our” refers to the organiser of the competition.
1.3 By entering any Chutney Fusion Festival 2026 competition, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2.1 Competitions are open to residents of South Africa, unless otherwise stated in the specific competition post or entry form.
2.2 Participants must be 18 years or older to enter, unless the competition specifically allows younger participants.
2.3 Where a participant is under the age of 18, entry will only be accepted with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
2.4 Employees, directors, contractors, suppliers, agencies, service providers, artists, performers, sponsors and immediate family members connected to Fusion Life or Chutney Fusion Festival 2026 may not enter, unless specifically permitted in writing.
2.5 Fusion Life reserves the right to verify a participant’s identity, age, contact details and eligibility before confirming a winner.

3.1 Each competition will run for the period stated on the relevant competition post, entry form, WhatsApp journey, website page, or official Fusion Life communication.
3.2 Entries received before or after the stated competition period may be disqualified.

4.1 To enter a Chutney Fusion Festival 2026 competition, participants must follow the instructions provided in the specific competition announcement. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Completing a form
- Sending a WhatsApp message
- Commenting on a social media post
- Uploading a video or photo
- Tagging Fusion Life or Chutney Fusion Festival
- Using the official competition hashtag
- Submitting a story, nomination, dance video or creative entry
4.2 Incomplete, incorrect, late, duplicated, automated, fraudulent or inappropriate entries may be disqualified.
4.3 No purchase is required to enter, unless otherwise clearly stated and legally permitted. Under South African promotional competition rules, promoters may generally not require participants to pay to enter beyond reasonable transmission or entry submission costs.

2.1 The Yaaram Moment Competition is a Chutney Fusion Festival 2026 fan and community storytelling competition linked to Raymond Ramnarine’s “Yaaram” performance moment at Chutney Fusion Festival 2026.
2.2 The competition is designed to celebrate meaningful stories, special women, loved ones, community members, fans and emotional connections within the Chutney Fusion Festival community.

3.1 Participants may be required to:
- Nominate themselves or someone else for a Yaaram Moment
- Submit a short story explaining why the nominee deserves the moment
- Provide the nominee’s name, contact details and any required supporting information
- Submit the entry via the official form, WhatsApp number, social media instruction or platform announced by Fusion Life
3.2 Fusion Life may reject entries that are incomplete, offensive, false, defamatory, harmful, unsafe, discriminatory or not aligned with the spirit of the competition.

4.1 Where a participant nominates another person, the participant confirms that:
- The nominee has agreed to be nominated
- The nominee is aware that their name, story, image or video may be used by Fusion Life if selected
- The nominee agrees to participate in related content, filming, photography or event-day activity, where required
4.2 If the nominee is under 18, written consent from a parent or legal guardian will be required before the nominee can be confirmed.

5.1 Winners or finalists may be selected by Fusion Life based on:
- Emotional relevance of the story
- Suitability for the Chutney Fusion Festival 2026 campaign
- Authenticity and clarity of the submission
- Availability of the nominee
- Event-day feasibility and safety
- Alignment with the Yaaram Moment concept
5.2 This is not a random draw unless Fusion Life states otherwise.
5.3 Fusion Life’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection outcome.

6.1 The prize or experience may include one or more of the following, depending on the final competition announcement:
- Chutney Fusion Festival 2026 tickets
- A curated Yaaram Moment experience
- A possible on-stage or near-stage recognition moment
- Filming or photography as part of Chutney Fusion Festival 2026 content
- A meet-and-greet or artist-linked moment, subject to availability and approval
6.2 The exact prize will be confirmed in the relevant competition post.
6.3 No cash alternative will be offered. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or refundable.

7.1 Selected winners or nominees may be required to:
- Arrive at the venue at a specified time
- Follow all venue, organiser, security and production instructions
- Participate in a briefing before the moment
- Sign a media consent form
- Remain available for filming, photography or stage coordination
7.2 Fusion Life may change, reduce, reschedule or cancel the Yaaram Moment if required due to production, artist, safety, weather, venue, timing, security or operational reasons.

8.1 By accepting the prize or experience, the winner or nominee agrees that Fusion Life may use their name, image, story, video, voice, likeness and submitted content for campaign, event, social media, PR and promotional purposes relating to Chutney Fusion Festival 2026.
8.2 Where the winner or nominee is under 18, parent or guardian consent will be required.
